Who We Are

Sojourn Heights is a non-denominational, elder-led church in the Heights neighborhood of Houston. We exist to make and mature faithful followers of Jesus for the good of our neighbors, the growth of His kingdom, and the glory of God. Since our planting in 2010, our congregation has been marked by a love for God, a love for our neighborhood, and a commitment to reach our pocket of this large and diverse city with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Neighborhood Parishes

As a church, Sojourn Heights is organized into groups called neighborhood parishes. Historically, the word "parish" has been used to refer to a geographic area with a minister. At Sojourn we believe the Bible teaches that God calls all Christians to be ministers of reconciliation. The reason we call them Neighborhood Parishes is they are groups of men and women seeking to minister to our neighborhood. The way we aim to do that is to simply live life together, love and serve one another, and love and serve our neighbors.
